I’m constantly evaluating the question, “What defines me?” As I’m sure many women do. That question can be answered many different ways depending on at what stage you are in your life. The answer changes and rightfully evolves as do you. So this blog is my answer to that question.

Hi, I’m Reina Theresa. I am a Teacher, Mom {of 2 young teenagers-LAWD help me!!}, and Creative Soul. I love CLOTHES~ Yassss Hunny! SHOES~ Don’t hurt yourself nah! MUSIC~ Ratchet Rap to Give the Glory Gospel: Don’t judge me! LOL. My interests range from fashion, sewing, thrifting, DIYs, writing poetry, photography, reading, cooking, and I guess everything in between.

So, The Style Menagerie is my collection, my validation that Curvy Girls ROCK! My creative outlet. A glimpse into my world as I try to juggle everything at once. It’s a place to gather what inspires me. We girls do it every day, right? Because of that I feel in Good Company. 

Fun(ny) Facts:

v  I teach English: Not sure how this counts as ‘Fun’ but I LOVE MY CAREER!

v  My favorite color is a ‘pink, red-orange-y, coral’: Is that even a color?

v  I love peonies: They’re so pretty.

v  I DO NOT like Chocolate Ice Cream! *Gasp*. As a matter of Fact, I don’t really like ice cream at all.

v  I go ‘All-In' on my hobbies: When I was teaching myself how to sew, I somehow ended up with 2 machines and a serger! Needless to say I’m still learning.

v  My birthmark is in the shape of a conch shell, my dad is from Key West, Fla. ‘The Conch Republic’, and my childhood bathroom had seashell wallpaper, Ummmm…

v  I am the only person I know whose nickname is longer than their real one.

v  My make-up collection is really out-of-hand and I don’t even wear it everyday.

v  I LOVE Baseball! Go Braves.

v  Now-and-Laters are the best penny candy EVER! (Am I showing my age?)

v  My Favorite Cocktail is Cantina Laredo’s La Bandera

v  I make jewelry

v  I’m a wizard and Hogwarts is my Alma Mater (Ok, no, not really. But The Harry Potter series are some of my favorite books; Toni Morrison is my favorite author.

v  I own my own set of power tools: power sander, miter saw, pneumatic nail gun, you know the everyday girlie ones!
